The TISKA (Traditional International Shotokan Karate Association) has been running since 1981, throughout UK. The Wolverhampton karate clubs are in Wednesfield, and Cannock, both run by Sensei Riyait, a Karate black belt Dan 3 instructor.
Karate is predominantly a self-defence mechanism, using a combination of striking art using punching, kicking, knee strikes, elbow strikes and open-hand techniques such as knife-hands, spear-hands and palm-heel strikes.
At our Karate clubs we teach our students from beginners to advanced level, these types of techniques. We have students as young as 4 years of age and upwards of 50 years of age. Anyone can start learning Karate, at any time of their lives. Its never too early, and never too late.
Karate lessons are 45 minutes each. This includes a 5 minute warm up.
